Why rawneed exists

Most ideas die solving a problem nobody is paid to care about. rawneed exists to settle that question with evidence — from the people who actually have the problem.

What rawneed is

rawneed is a Reddit-research pipeline. You write a claim in plain English — a hypothesis like “indie founders struggle to get their first 100 customers” — and it pulls the threads where that audience already talks, classifies every one for pain and willingness to pay, and hands back a ranked, sourced report.

The point is not to read more Reddit. It is to replace gut feel and flattering survey answers with revealed frustration at scale — what people say when they have no idea you are listening.

Who builds it

rawneed is built by Bhupendra Singh Chauhan. After watching too many teams (including my own) pour months into ideas that real customers never asked for, I wanted a way to check demand against actual conversations before writing a line of code — cheaply, repeatably, and with the receipts attached. rawneed is that tool.

What we believe

A few principles the product is built around:

  • Evidence over optimism — a ranked report beats a confident hunch, and every score links back to the thread it came from.
  • Show the receipts — no black box. The methodology, the scoring schema, and the cost of a run are all public.
  • Honest by construction — the data comes from unincentivised public threads, and we surface the caveats next to the numbers instead of burying them.
  • Cheap enough to re-run — a pass costs cents, so checking whether a need is growing should never be a budget decision.

Validate what people actually say, not what you wish they would.
